After I've slowly gotten back into Hetalia I started to like a certain character a lot more than before.
I didn't care much about him when I watched Hetalia years ago,
but this time he's caught so much my attention that I could even say he's become my favorite character in the series.
Of course I'm talking about... the great Prussia!!
There he is. The the most annoying character in the show. Gilbert Beilschmidt.
One part of me wishes I was joking, but the other doesn't care.
Really, he's so annoying. Especially at the beginning.
He only ever talks about himself and how awesome he is and he always torments everyone
and h's been writing a diary since he was little and brings it up to expose other countries when he's bored.
Yet he's so goofy I can't hate him, he always puts a smile on my face. No matter how much he fails,
he still has the courage to calls himself awesome all the time.
And he's right! He really is that awesome!! No other character is as awesome as him.
I just love how silly he can be.
He talks way too much and can't stop being a nuisance, especially to his younger brother Germany.
Also, apparently, Prussia often brings home strange things like stuffed pandas
and Germany complains about it because it makes it difficult to clean.
Imagine having to bear with Prussia everyday...
But Prussia actually cares a lot about his brother and acts in a more genuine way when he's with him,
instead of trying to make himself feel better by bragging about his greatness
(or at least he does it a bit less than usual).
He doesn't show it but he's a lot more similar to Germany than it looks. He can be serious and diligent, or at least so it's suggested.
After all he raised Germany... somehow. Their interactions are the best!
I could go on and explain why Prussia is actually more complex of a character than just "being awesome",
but I'd probably get too serious and it's not my point anyways.
His songs also manage to be funny and ridiculous but also kinda sad when you read the lyrics.
They perfectly capture everything about him that makes him unique.
Prussia is irritating and annoying half the time, but adorable and loveable the other half. Or both at the same time.
I don't think I can express into words how happy I feel when he appears on the screen.
I love this silly guy
He also has this little bird following him or sitting on his head
(even if he wasn't aware of it for so long apparently)
It's so cute!
To conclude this, here's four reasons why Prussia is the best Hetalia character:
- he acts funny
- he's good at cleaning
- he likes cute things
- he's awesome
